Positive, broad-based change is possible!

Let Us Rise believes real, long-lasting change comes from movements, and that each of us -- individuals and organizations -- are capable of helping to build a movement, if we will only take the time to think creatively together and take coordinated action.

If you are interested in stepping into your full potential to create change, consider convening a Movement-Building Conversation with your organization or your friends. In this facilitated conversation, you'll be invited to consider the strengths and weaknesses of your efforts to create change, envision the kind of movement you are yearning to create, and brainstorm steps you can take -- both with your colleagues/friends and working with other groups -- to get there. We are also coordinating a campaign to envision the kind of communities, US and world we want to live in. Over thirty groups have already hosted "Visioning Circles" and published their visions for change here. Once we reach a criticla mass, we'll engage participants in a direct democracy process to create an independent People's Platform and a collective action plan to implement it.

Imagine the power of creating a shared vision for our communities and country, a vision which transcends the ways in which we are divided. Imagine what we can do if each one of us takes responsibility for the power we have to create our world anew.

This process started in Colorado, but is now open to everyone. We are currently redesigning the website so that you will be able to look at visions grouped by city, state and zip. So, whereever you live, we invite you to dive into this process, and the website will grow to support you!
