a place where all want to and can vote; that it actually makes a difference - where there are also other meaningful ways to participate - listen to what others want - where leaders are honest - a place without hypocrisy - where transparency isn’t threatening - where all people can make mistakes - where there are paths to reconciliation - no exploitation o where no one dictates others’ well-being o people get to determine their own well-being; self-determination o support each others’ prosperity - root causes of problems are sought - where people actually feel like they’re a part of a community; feel connected - where everyone’s art is valued - where everyone is sacred - we are all responsible for raising our children - a community in motion; must work hard and be constantly moving, self-reflective, not in a vacuum - people must take responsibility for creating and constantly recreating

no urban sprawl - land is used efficiently, not over-developed - no zoning, or zoning that makes sense - don’t commute; can work where we live - know our neighbors, spend time with them, and can speak their languages - composting is the norm - people with history/lives on land have ownership of that land, like indigenous peoples and the current generation of people are displaced - people don’t won water - process for reconciliation with the displaced people - air is clear (physically and metaphorically) - Don’t waste food - All can eat, have enough and be in good health; no processed foods - All have fabulous healthcare - 35-hour work week; good maternity an paternity leave - Purpose-driven work, not dictated by a set work week - OR work week doesn’t even exist, because our work is tied in with our lives - No alarms; find natural rhythm; we are able to take our time, and time does not equal money - Cars don’t need gasoline - No need to own a car - Community accountability; policing moves toward caring - Path to reconciliation as opposed to prisons - We are held accountable to what we say of other people; same goes for what the media says - Police solve problems instead of looking for them - Media is controlled by community - No guns, no need for guns; no violence - Humane and sustainable farming - Where people fell safe in homes, streets, everywhere - Homes are healthy places to live; don’t poison people - Solar-powered grid - Possible to travel across the state and connect with others traveling too, for an effective system of transportation - People actually learn things in school; education is dialogue-based, reality-based - All kids have equal opportunities to education and actually want to go to school - Opportunity for continued education - Get educated for the purpose of learning, not so you can get a job - Profits have been displaced - People want to and can vote, and it actually matters - We come from a place of creativity - Invest in people, not in money - Trade and barter system - People aren’t valued for what they have but who they are - Culture, tradition are valued and embraced; we share and respect new cultures - Cultures are celebrated and held sacred, but not exempt from dialogue, analysis - A liberating culture; doesn’t lead to oppression - People who reexamine culture/traditions are the ones who are a part of it - Culture is grassroots, created by community

groups of people are able and willing to meet, discuss like this - pride in freedom of speech - continually write to a newspaper, be published and not fear for your life - access to free K-12 education - cultural expressions developed here in the U.S. (jazz, blues, rock-n-roll, hip-hop) - able to experience multiple cultures - places where diversity is celebrated - We are not homogenous- race, ethnicity, religion, etc. - Value recreation - Advancements in science - Reproductive health movement, which has had some major successes and also an impact on the movement worldwide

our leaders reflect our diverse population - don’t sell arms abroad - value movement, don’t take it as a threat but vital to establish a system - patriotism: speaking out when we see something wrong - work in solidarity, sustainability abroad - All people have the same education, healthcare, food, healthy housing, warm clothes, safe streets; people aren’t at higher risks of cancer for the wor they o, places they live, etc. - All have intellectual property rights; or they don’t exist - Free mobility across borders - Langston Hughes: “let America be America again--The land that never has been yet--And yet must be” quote - All places where we have only partly realized our potential are fully realized - Sustainability - Life not at the expense of others - Support equity as opposed to equality
