New Movement-Building Tool!
How can we leverage all the excitement and energy of the elections into an effective, sustainable, independent, grassroots movement for change?
Let Us Rise is now offering to facilitate Movement-Building Conversations
with your organization, or any group of people who want to think critically about past social change efforts and help to build a movement in our new political climate.
In a facilitated Movement-Building Conversation, your group will be invited to:
- Consider the strengths of your efforts to create change
- Consider the weaknesses or your frustrations with your efforts to create change
- Envision the kind of movement you are yearning to create
- Brainstorm how your group can work internally, as well as with other groups, to get there
If you are looking to leverage the energy of the 2008 elections into a sustainable, grassroots, independent movement for change... If you hope to re-orient your coalition or organization toward movement-building... If you are about to embark on strategic planning in this transformed political climate... this is a great way to start.
This process is unique -- not only in the process itself, but also because Let Us Rise is committed to bringing together all people who have participated in these discussions, including members of the Colorado Progressive Coalition, Flobots.org, attendees at a recent CANPO conference, and others - to figure out steps we can take together in 2009.
