What will we accomplish?

This kind of campaign, to our knowledge, has never been tried before in the United States. Many variables are up in the air. How many groups will participate this year? Will enough people participate at this stage, to create a new source of real political power? Or will the first year lay the foundation for creating a powerful constituency down the line? We cannot possibly know the answers.

Best case scenario, together we will:

• Create a new movement of people, unified across historic differences around a positive vision, with the numbers and power to make this vision a reality.

At the very least, we will...

• Create a new group of people unified across historic differences around a positive vision, with the potential to grow and make this vision a reality in the future.
• Generate a collective, bottom-up vision for Colorado and the U.S., created independently from political parties or the mainstream media.
• Provide a way for organizations around the state to continue making their unique contributions, while becoming a part of something much larger and stepping into our collective power as a civil society.
• Start a state-wide conversation with Colorado non-profits and other organizations seeking to create change, on how we can work together on a common agenda to create systemic change.
• Begin moving out of a reactive, anti-everything posutre, into a proactive posture grounded in positive vision and values.
• Begin transcending the us/them mindset and work with everyone willing to leave blame and hatred behind.
• Place values and spirituality front and center in a statewide, inclusive campaign.
• Be the change we wish to see in the world, including democratic, bottom-up, all-inclusive participation.
• Create an inclusive, representative Leadership Team whose members are taking responsibility for their power, thinking outside the box, and focusing our energy on catalyzing a movement.
• Test a new model for truly democratic organizing.
