Organizational Infrastructure
Not another non-profit! Space for existing non-profits, churches, synagogues, mosques, community organizations, clubs, social networks… to become part of something bigger.
Let Us Rise and the People’s Platform Campaign seeks to catalyze a movement of people to create systems and cultures rooted in love, compassion, truthfulness, personal responsibility and democratic participation. This campaign does not seek to create a permanent not-for-profit institution, nor do we wish to compete with our non-profit partners. For this reason, we have decided not to apply for foundation money. Also for this reason, we have decided not to file for independent 501(c)(3) status.
We seek a structure which will allow us to benefit from the best wisdom the non-profit world has to offer, while also allowing us to maintain our independence and energy around this campaign. So we have obtained fiscal sponsorship from the Community Resource Center. Established in 1981, the Community Resource Center (CRC) is a nonprofit organization which seeks to empower Colorado nonprofits to fulfill their missions by providing training, technical assistance and consultation. CRC sees itself as a convener of communities to expand resources and stimulate change, and has relationships with thousands of non-profits around the state. You may learn more about the Community Resource Center at www.crcamerica.org.
