MissionLet Us Rise seeks to catalyze a movement of people to create systems and cultures rooted in love, compassion, truthfulness, personal responsibility and democratic participation.

Guiding AspirationsWe believe positive and long-lasting societal change will only happen as we each individually rise into our best selves. These Guiding Aspirations provide a way for us to check how we're doing internally, and communicate what we are about to others. These aspirations are living: they change and grow as we change on a personal level, as well as when we grow as a community by including new people who bring new perspectives. As we build this movement, we hope these aspirations can provide a place of common ground for all of us.

• We believe in listening to the wisdom of everyone.
• We each take responsibility for our power to create our world.
• We believe that real change is possible and that together we can achieve it. We seek to provide a way for people and organizations step into our full potential to create that change together.
• We seek to place the good of the whole above our own egos. We are committed to transcending hatred, blame, scapegoating and the ways in which we are divided.
• We honor the earth and all living things in all that we do.
• We recognize that we all have unique individual experiences as well as universal human experiences of pain and loss, love and joy. We also recognize that some of us have experienced pain and loss based on the color of our skin, how much money we have (or our family had), our family background, our gender, our sexuality, our physical ability, our beliefs, our religion, where we are from and many other factors. We seek to find new ways to work together where we recognize these differences as well as honor the humanity in all of us.
• We recognize that there are universal human needs, such as food and shelter, love and community, a meaningful life. We recognize that there are institutions and systems which work against the well-being of particular groups of people and make it very hard to meet those needs. We seek to create a society which supports every one of us in meeting our human needs and reaching our highest potential.
