An Honest Look at Ourselves
We began by holding conversations with Denver area community leaders, activists, non-profit representatives, and faith leaders, all of whom have dedicated their lives to creating a better world for everyone. Instead of asking, "What is wrong with the world, and who is to blame?" We asked, "What are we failing to do?," "How have we helped to create this world?", and, "What can we do differently?" A number of insights emerged about the trends in activism, organizing, and the non-profit sector (not all of which fit all organizations). Consider:
